Adding onto what Stephanie wrote in her guest post yesterday, I have come up with yet another reason you know that you are training for something big!
After getting up at 5:00am to beat the 100 degree weather for yesterday’s long run (16 miles…woohoo! Although it was more of a run/walk after the first 10!) I was definitely ready for some coffee when I got home. I’m starting to absolutely love coffee.
I got it all ready to start brewing…then something else caught my eye.
You see, I’ve been telling myself over and over to start eating more protein. Protein helps your muscles to recover faster, which is what every runner wants, right?
Long Run + Caffeine + Protein = one good morning if you ask me!
